I used to send individual letters in ...Nice job! <br /><br />I used to send individual letters in June to the parents of the students who would be in my low level sophomore classes the next fall explaining that a big part of my course was independent reading. I stressed that the students could read whatever they wanted, and that I would be checking the first week of school. I think I set it up so they got extra credit for it.
